FORECAST

The FORECAST project develops a solution that combines remote sensing (optical and LiDAR) with process-based forest models to estimate and predict carbon balance. The tool generates accurate, continuous, and scalable information on structural variables of forests. It allows for the simulation of future climate scenarios and the assessment of risks such as fires, pests, and droughts. The solution supports sustainable forest management and certification in the carbon market.
